Rev. Kevin J. White

The ministry of Reverend Kevin James White began in the nation's capital, at the Mount Joy Baptist Church, where he was licensed to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ. God's direction continued in Reverend White's ordination to the Gospel Ministry at the First Baptist Church of Washington, DC.

Reverend White was blessed to have served as the Senior Pastor of the Unity Baptist Church and Threshing Floor Deliverance Baptist Church, both of Washington, DC. Reverend White now serves as the seventh pastor of the New Zion Baptist Church of Elizabeth, New Jersey.

Under Reverend White's leadership, New Zion Baptist Church has steadfastly moved forward to become a reflection of the Kingdom of God.  His professionalism, biblical knowledge, church administration, and financial stewardship, has quickly propelled New Zion to a higher level in ministry - spiritually, physically and financially.

Known to his congregation as our beloved Pastor White, he has shown his love of God, devotion and dedication to New Zion by spearheading renovation of the church's interior with a full service interior/exterior handicap ramp, the exterior of the worship center and an additional parking lot.  He has brought technology and theology into partnership for our worship experience by developing a state-of-the-art sight-and-sound ministry.  He has also initiated a thriving Noonday Prayer Service on Wednesdays and a Youth Church for ages five through nine each Sunday.

Reverend White is the CEO of Zion Horizon Enterprise, and serves as a Trustee for the New Hope Missionary Baptist Association.

Pastor White's greatest gifts from God are his wife, the former Dr. Charisse Ballard, of Houston, Texas and their three children Ketra, David and Deborah.
