Fasting; Breaks the Chains...
Isaiah 58:6
“Is not this the kind of fasting I have chosen:
to loose the chains of injustice
and untie the cords of the yoke,
to set the oppressed free
and break every yoke?”
Why We Fast?
"If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."
2 Chronicles 7:14
We Fast for 7 Things (By Faith) for God to do:
1. For increase (to rebuke the devourer) for the church.
2. Poverty to be broken off our membership
3. A New Renovation
4. For Healing of the membership
5. Pastor's Health, Wealth, Prosperity, and Wisdom
6. Increase in our church (especially men)
7. Deliverance Ministry to manifest itself
How Do We Fast?
There must be a commitment to the fast. Fast From 12pm to 7pm
Day 1
No television; no radio; no meat; no beverage except water; pray without ceasing. Read and meditate on the Holy Scriptures.
Day 2
Only Christian television and radio; fruit and vegetables only; fruit juices, and water. Devote 3 hours to prayer and reading of scriptures.
Day 3
News and Christian television; no radio; chicken and vegetables only; fruit juices and water. Devote 3 hours to prayer and reading of scriptures.
Day 4
Connect with your prayer partner and confess at least one sin; pray for your partner's sin. Devote 3 hours to prayer and reading of scriptures.
Day 5
Only Christian television and news. Chicken, fish, vegetable, fruit, and water. Devote 3 hours to prayer and reading of scriptures.
Day 6
Call someone and apologize for a past transgression. Christian television and radio, one half hour each. Chicken, fish, vegetable, fruit, and water. Devote 3 hours to prayer and reading of scriptures.
Day 7
Total Fast From 12pm to 7pm
