Pastor Kevin James White is a prophetic preacher, passionate leader, and eloquent orator whose ministry reflects an unwavering commitment to proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ. With more than three decades of faithful service, he has ministered across the global Gospel community and currently serves as Pastor and Senior Servant of New Zion Baptist Church in Elizabeth, New Jersey. In this role, Pastor White has skillfully applied his administrative and stewardship gifts to build a strong organizational foundation at New Zion. His visionary leadership has guided the congregation into seasons of significant spiritual, physical, and financial growth. A true shepherd, he remains deeply committed to evangelism and community outreach, founding impactful initiatives such as Harvest for Christ, a Christmas Toy Giveaway, and an Annual Thanksgiving Food Basket distribution for seniors.

 

Pastor White’s passion for education and youth development inspired the creation of Zion Land Summer Camp and Zion Land Academy Child Care Center, an organization he established to nurture the spiritual, intellectual, and emotional growth of children.

 

A respected denominational leader, Pastor White serves as the First Vice President of the General Baptist Convention of New Jersey, Inc.  In addition, he has served as Overseer of three churches simultaneously while pastoring New Zion Baptist Church. He also mentors preachers and develops leaders equipped for transformative ministry.  His leadership legacy also includes service as Financial Secretary of the General Baptist Convention and 2nd Vice Moderator of the New Hope Missionary Baptist Association.

 

Pastor White is a Certified Instructor for the Sunday School Publishing Board of the National Baptist Convention, USA, Inc., reflecting his dedication to ministerial excellence and Christian education. He holds a Master of Arts in Transformational Leadership and Administration from New York Theological Seminary, where he was recognized for outstanding academic and professional achievement. He holds an earned Doctor of Ministry degree from New Brunswick Theological Seminary. Pastor White also serves as a member of RWJ Barnabas Health Patient Family Advisory Council (PFAC).

 

A committed community activist, Pastor White works closely with civic leaders to address the needs of the Elizabeth community. His expertise in church administration has supported numerous congregations in developing constitutions, bylaws, and sustainable organizational structures. Above all, Pastor White treasures his family. He is joyfully married to the former Dr. Charisse Ballard and is the proud father of three children—Ketra, David, and Deborah—and the devoted grandfather of his cherished grandson, Khalil.
